Leigh Haynie

Leigh Haynie graduated from the University of Alabama, School of Law in 1997. Since then, she has focused her legal practice on representing those who feel left out of the legal system. A proud graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, she has taken the service-learning philosophy instilled by her college professors and fellow students and has lived a life dedicated to making her community and her client's lives better. Whether representing commercial fishermen in Louisiana fighting for the preservation of their fishing and cultural heritage or individuals who have faced financial setbacks, the thread that ties Leigh's cases together is the dignity of each individual and the hope that a fresh start offers.

Leigh was born in Huntsville while her father was a University of Alabama co-op student on the Arsenal. Her family ties to north Alabama run deep and back to before Alabama was a state.

Leigh has hiked and kayaked throughout north Alabama with her favorite spots being any hiking trail in Bankhead National Forest, the Walls of Jericho, and any creek with enough water to float a kayak.
